Energising Yumy Overnight Oats
Overnight oats can be a quick and easy breakfast for busy mornings, and come with a range of health benefits. Oats are high in fibre, which we typically don't get enough of in our diets. Fibre is important for your gut health, to keep everything moving smoothly and regularly! Fibre is also great for helping you to feel full, which means that starting your day with a big bowl of oats will help curb those cravings and see you through until lunch! The fibre in oats also helps to lower our cholesterol, making it a great all rounder for our health!
Plus, if you use gluten free oats, you can make the perfect gluten free overnight oat bowl! Or if you're vegan (like our Yumy dark chocolate bars), switching out cows milk for your fave dairy free alternative can get you a pot of vegan friendly overnight oats to enjoy before you start your day!
Ingredients
1 x Yumy Energise Bar (use 2 squares per serving)
50g Oats
120ml Milk of your choice
Fruit to your liking - optional
Steps:
Measure out 50g of oats per serving, and place in a sealable container.
Top with 120ml of milk of your choice (we like oat!)
Ensure that the oats are all soaked and covered by the milk.
Chop your favourite Yumy bar (we like to use Energise for a boost in the mornings!)
Sprinkle your Yumy chunks over the top, and add your favourite fruit. We love pairing Yumy dark chocolate with something tart like raspberries! But some banana is also a great addition for some extra energy!
Leave in the fridge overnight, so that the oats absorb the milk, and enjoy the next morning, for a quick and easy breakfast that you can grab on the go!
Mind-Boosting No Bake Peanut Butter Bars
Peanut butter is a great nutrient-dense addition to our diets, providing us with a great source of iron, magnesium, and zinc, along with vitamins B and E. Though peanut butter can be quite calorie-dense, it is a great source of protein and healthy fats, which is why it's a great addition to any breakfast or snack.
These no-bake peanut butter bars are great for on the go, for a rushed morning before work, or as a snack before a big workout. With the addition of Yumy Mind, you're also getting your daily dose of adaptogens, with over 4000mg of Lion’s Mane in a whole bar! Ingredients
180g Rolled Oats
60g Protein Powder (pick a vegan one to keep this recipe dairy free!)
100g Crispy Rice Cereal
125g Peanut Butter
160g Maple Syrup
¼ tsp Sea Salt
1tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Yumy Mind Bar
Steps:
Blend your oats to create an oat flour
Chop your Yumy Mind bar into small pieces, similar to chocolate chips
Mix the oat flour, cereal and salt together in a large bowl
Add the chocolate chunks, peanut butter, maple syrup and vanilla and then mix it together again.
If the mixture is too crumbly, you can add a touch of milk (use oat to keep it dairy free!) to help it come together.
Press the mixture into your mould of choice, we like to use a brownie tray.
Pop the mixture into the freezer to solidify
After 10 mins, remove it from the freezer and slice into bars, we recommend 12 portions with this recipe
Return the bars to the freezer to fully solidify, and enjoy for the next week!
Calm & Cozy Chocolate Yogurt Bowl
Greek yoghurt is a great after-dinner treat for those looking to take care of their health for many reasons! Greek yoghurt contains probiotics which can help to support gut health and aid digestion, and is also typically low in sugar and high in nutrients, meaning you get plenty of calcium and vitamins to support your overall health!
Ingredients
170g Greek Yoghurt (swap this out for your fave dairy free alternative if you like!)
2-3 Tbsp Granola
1 Handful of Berries
2 Square of Yumy Calm
Steps
Choose your favourite dish to serve your yoghurty treat in
Spoon ⅓ of the yoghurt into the bottom of your dish
Add a couple of your berries
Sprinkle in ½ of your granola
Add another ⅓ of your yoghurt, and some more berries.
Grate in half of your Yumy Mind chocolate
Top it off with the rest of your yoghurt, granola, and the rest of the Yumy Mind chocolate grated on top.
It's as easy as that! Enjoy your Yumy treat with a cosy blanket and cup of caffeine free tea for the perfect way to wind down on an evening.
